With energy efficiency companies under more pressure than ever to deliver savings and slash emissions, KEEA & EEA-NJ’s flagship Policy Conference remains our region’s best opportunity to understand what’s on the horizon and network with industry movers and shakers.

SCHOLARSHIP

8/20 Update: STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

For the first time ever, KEEA & EEA-NJ are pleased to offer Conference Scholarships. The scholarship program’s goal is to lower financial barriers to attendance and encourage participation from individuals and groups historically under-represented in the clean energy workforce.

Scholarships will cover a 2-day ticket and a 1-night hotel stay for recipients. The initial deadline for the scholarship application is August 13th, 2025, though we will accept applicants afterwards on a rolling basis depended on funding. We are encourage our members, partners, and supporters to distribute this opportunity widely in their networks.

Who should apply?

  • Working professionals in our field (or related)
  • People aspiring to join our industry
  • Graduate students in relevant industry fields

Applicants must be individuals (NOT businesses applying on an individual’s behalf) 21 years of age or older, who either reside or work for companies based in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.

The Conference Scholarship Committee will make a holistic assessment of all applications, taking into account how much candidates would benefit professionally from attending the conference, financial hardship, whether/how they identify as an under-represented member of the EE community, and other factors that the applicant wishes to share that would make them a strong candidate.

Would you like to share this opportunity with a colleague, professional network, or other potential applicants? Click here to view and download a shareable PDF.

MENTORSHIP

This year, we’re pleased to offer a special mentorship program for professionals who are newer to the energy efficiency field.

MENTEES receive valuable guidance and connections from experienced industry professionals.

MENTORS make a small time commitment to build their networks and support the growth of newer members of our industry.

Day 1 will feature a special “Mentorship Breakfast” for mentors and mentees to connect!

Check “contact me about mentorship” during the ticket purchasing process, or email Jeaneen Zappa with “MENTORSHIP” in the subject line, to learn more. Appropriate mentor/mentee matches will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis.

PECHAKUCHA

We’re bringing back our popular “PechaKucha” session from 2024! A fast-paced, engaging presentation style packing 20 slides into 7 minutes, this year’s PechaKucha will reflect the Conference theme: Navigating Change.

PECHAKUCHA: WHAT IS IT?

The “PechaKucha 20×20” presentation format is a slide show of 20 images, each auto-advancing after 20 seconds. It’s non-stop: you’ve got 400 seconds to tell your story, with your visuals guiding the way. PechaKucha was created in Japan in 2003 by renowned architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham. The word “PechaKucha” is Japanese for “chit chat.” Read more about it and see video examples at www.pechakucha.com/about.

POSTER SESSION

8/20 Update: STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

We’re pleased to debut a new Poster Session programming component for our Annual Policy Conference!

We’re seeking posters that cover the topic of “Navigating Change” in the energy efficiency industry. Topics could include:

  • Innovative technology or funding solutions
  • New program design structures
  • Decarbonization pathways
  • Program or technology evaluation results
  • Gas energy efficiency and decarbonization
  • Distributed energy resources
  • EE / DER policy analysis

This is an excellent opportunity to show off details for a recent energy efficiency project or initiative. Please avoid overly commercial or “sales pitch” posters—while we’re happy to showcase your company, we want all information to be educational. This is a great opportunity to present your ideas in a more intimate setting, particularly good for anyone with anxiety about public speaking.

What to Do Date
Submit an abstract.
Deadline: August 8 (Rolling Applications Based on Available Space After)
